For the Pearl Residence, the client sought to expand into an adjacent unit. The cabinetry and detailing were crafted to make efficient use of space while complementing the existing palette of materials. Custom casework between the dining and guest areas incorporates a flush embrasure door, allowing the space to be closed off for privacy or left open to maintain visual continuity. A slatted screen set flush to the floor divides the guest sleeping and sitting areas. The client’s artwork and furniture were considered during the space planning phase and integrated into the final design.
